The Dispatcher is responsible for scheduling and dispatching workers, work crews, equipment, or service vehicles for the conveyance of materials, freight, or services outside the place of business. This role involves coordinating assignments, communicating with personnel, and maintaining records of work progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and dispatch workers, crews, or equipment to appropriate locations using various communication methods.
- Arrange necessary repairs to restore service and schedules.
- Relay work orders, messages, and information between work crews and other field operators.
- Address questions, problems, and service requests from customers or personnel.
- Prepare daily work schedules and maintain communication within assigned territories.
- Monitor personnel, equipment locations, and utilization to coordinate service and schedules.
- Record and maintain files of customer requests, work performed, charges, and other dispatch information.
- Advise personnel about traffic problems and hazards affecting service delivery.
Qualifications:
